Each year, the East Baton Rouge animal shelter gathers up thousands of lost dogs, most of them in good shape, just needing a place to belong. Commercial Properties, working with dog-loving folks and companies, is providing a chance for people to adopt these dogs.

You know these canines. They are lovable mixes. Purebreds, too. When you are down, they wag their tails, put on their giddy-up face and provide unconditional friendship.

We’ve made it easy for you to take one home.

The dogs are:

• Checked for good health by veterinarians

• Assessed for temperament

• Spayed/neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated, tested

   for good health

1. •Microchipped. If your adopted dog gets lost on a wayward stroll, identification on the chip gets him safely home
