How could you not immediately fall in love with this Collie/Shepherd mix puppy that radiates I LOVE LIFE! As soon as we saw her she was jumping, smiling, and giving everyone kisses. Duckie was about three to four months old when she was surrendered to a friend and then surrendered to animal control. We all know what could happen to the owner surrenders at animal control. The crew at YELP took her and we're all looking at each other saying "why would anyone surrender such a loving, happy, beautiful puppy knowing what her future could hold. Well Duckie got her shots, crate and kennel at YELP. Made friends easy and loved everyone (especially Odom/Rommel). She loves to play, run and just get attention and give it. Then one day Duckie wasn't feeling well and had bloody diarrhea. It was what we all dread Parvo! If not treated, this disease is deadly, but also preventable with a vaccine. The YELP crew called Dr. Alberty, one of Yelps vets. Duckie had to go into the hospital to get the care she needed. After four days, she was released but still had to be quarantined for 14 days. She will continue on meds and watchful eyes, but is on the road to recovery. Duckie was lucky; a-lot puppies do not survive. This puppy has another chance (actually the third) because of donations, volunteers and a staff that care. People were calling immediately asking "how can we help". Thank you to everyone that helped this precious puppy! More Tails of Success
